The Real Madrid manager's former Juventus teammate Alessandro del Piero lauded the midfielder's exquisite skill and achievements in the game.

Alessandro del Piero spoke about his former Juventus teammate Zinedine Zidane during a video chat on social media and described the Real Madrid manager as "pure football."
"When he arrived, Zizou was a quiet lad, very humble but he fitted in very well with the rest of the squad," Del Piero said. "At Juventus he grew a lot as a player. He already had the talent but he improved in many ways, as he himself has said a lot of times.

"We had five wonderul years. We could have won more but from the point of view of his style of play, the pleasure of watching him, the technique... he was pure football. What he achieved is incredible. He also brought a lot to his national team and to Real Madrid."
