Real Madrid confirm return to training next Monday
For the first time in over 50 days, Zinedine Zidane will oversee a Real Madrid training session with the squad returning to Valdebebas next Monday.
The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic brought a halt to Spanish football on March 12 with Real Madrid players and back room staff on lockdown since the Spanish government declared a state of alarm in a bid to stem the virus from escalating at the time.
In that time period, first team players have been carrying out fitness regimes from their respective homes in a bid to maintain optimum fitness with the likes of injured Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio, benefiting from the halt in activity to recover from their injuries.
