According to the latest figures published by Johns Hopkins University, 6,973,195 cases have been detected worldwide, with 401,368 deaths and 3,124,760 people now recovered.
In India, there have been 257,392 cases confirmed, 7,207 people have died and 123,848 people have recovered from the virus.
Some Indians cannot afford to be repatriated
The Vande Bharat Mission has helped thousands of stranded Indians be evacuated and return home but not everyone can afford the special flights - with some flights costing three or four times the usual price.
In its lockdown 5.0 guidelines, the Centre announced that international flight services could return in the third phase, possibly in July, however, no official confirmation has been made.

India to further ease lockdown from Monday
June 8 will see stores reopen and other restrictions lifted in India as one of the world's strictest lockdowns is further eased.
Delhi reserves hospital beds for residents as virus cases surge
(Reuters) The city of New Delhi on Sunday ordered many of its hospital beds to be reserved solely for residents of the Indian capital, as the number of Covid-19 infections continued to surge.
India on Sunday registered 9,971 new coronavirus cases, taking its tally to 246,628 cases, with 6,929 deaths. The case numbers now lag only the United States, Brazil, Russia, the United Kingdom and Spain.
New Delhi city alone has registered more than 10% of total cases, making it the third worst-affected part of the country after the western state of Maharashtra, home to financial capital Mumbai, and southern Tamil Nadu state.
86 percent of Tamil Nadu cases asymptomatic
Local authorities have said after extensive testing in the state that 86 percent of all cases of Covid-19 are asymptomatic.
India death toll approaching 7,000
India has surpassed Spain to become the fifth worst-hit nation by the Covid-19 pandemic, with 2,46,628 cases. Only the US, Brazil, Russia and the UK have more confirmed cases. As many as 6,929 people have died so far, according to latest data released by the Ministry of Health Affairs.

India confirms another record surge in cases
India has registered its highest single-day spike in coronavirus cases for the fifth day in a row, after the country's health ministry confirmed 9,971 new infections in the 24-hour cycle between Saturday and Sunday. There were 287 new deaths during that time period.
Madras HC cases
A judge from the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court, three of his family members and his personal security officer tested positive for Covid-19, said sources, a day after three Madras High Court judges tested positive.
Reported fatalities
As has been widely reported, India has moved up to fifth in the most number of cases officially reported,
In terms of Covid-19 deaths, the country sits 12th, behind the US, the UK, Brazil, Italy, France, Spain, Mexico, Belgium, Germany, Iran and Canada.
