Bayern's Davies and PSG's Huitema aiming for historic double
Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies is already a Champions League winner and his girlfriend, PSG forward Jordyn Huitema, is two games away.
Alphonso Davies lifted the Champions League title with Bayern Munich after a stunning campaign under the tutelage of Hansi Flick after the Canada international was moved into a new role at left back at the beginning of the season. Flick drew some wonderful performances from the 19-year-old as the Bundesliga outfit swept all before them en route to a treble.
Lyon and Wolfsburg or Barça stand in PSG's way
Davies become the first Canadian to win the men’s Champions League in Lisbon last Sunday as Bayern saw off PSG and he may soon be joined by his girlfriend, Jordyn Huitema, who also represents the French side. If the 19-year-old also lifts the title, Davies and Huitema will become the first couple ever to achieve the feat of a double Champions League win.
Huitema, a forward for the Canada national side, will line up for PSG on 26 August in San Mamés against another Division 1 Féminine side, all-conquering Lyon. Jean-Luc Vasseur’s side have won the last four Champions Leagues and a staggering 14 consecutive Division 1 titles.
If PSG get past their fellow French side they will face either Wolfsburg or Barcelona in the final. The German side are also a formidable outfit, having scored 16 and conceded once in the knock-out stages so far.
The final will be played on 30 August in Real Sociedad’s Anoeta stadium in San Sebastián.
