Five key players missing

Aside from Carlos Vela, the 2019 league’s MVP, who has been out since 22 August, LAFC were missing four starting players due to the FIFA international break for the game against current MLS champions Seattle Sounders.

But depsite these absentees, LAFC managed to win 3-1 on Sunday at the Banc of California stadium, with the three points earned putting them in fourth place of the Western Conference.

I am really proud of my players. Great mentality to win a game when it seemed like so many things were against us. Tonight is the night we can just talk about really good mentality and an important victory,” said LAFC’s coach Bob Bradley after defeating Seattle.

Not everything was good news for LAFC this weekend because during the game against Seattle the team suffered two important injuries: Mark-Anthony Kaye and Andy Najar, with both players having to be subbed off. LAFC is waiting for the medical report from Kaye to see how long he will be out, but they already confirmed that Najar could miss the rest of the season.
