Real Madrid: Vinicius sets Champions League record, scoring 14 seconds after coming on
Vinicius became the fastest-scoring substitute in Champions League history. He is Real Madrid's top scorer this season with three goals.

Vinicius provided one of the few pieces of positive news from Real Madrid's painful 2-3 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk. The Brazilian entered the game as a substitute on 59 minutes, replacing Luka Jovic and took just 14 seconds to find the back of the net. He took advantage of poor control by Marlos and beat Trubin with a low finish from close range.
Vinicius, instant impact
History was made as Vinicius scored the fastest goal by any substitute in the history of the Champions League, as Mr. Chip noted on Twitter. The previous record of 15 seconds was held jointly by Lars Ricken and Andy van der Meyde. It was reminiscent of Marco Asensio's goal against Valencia - also at the Di Stéfano last season, 30 seconds after coming on.

Vinicius is enjoying a good start to the new campaign and with today's strike, he is the team's top goal scorer with three goals - two in LaLiga and one in the Champions League. He is no longer nervous when in front of goal. He found the back of the net against Valladolid and again in the following game against Levante. So far, Madrid's other goal scorers include: Modric, Valverde, Ramos and Benzema.
