There is a level of concern within the club after the full squad underwent routine PCR testing on Sunday as part of the UEFA protocol ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash at home to Inter.

The tension surrounding the testing has been prompted by four RM Castilla players testing positive for coronavirus on Saturday as health concerns at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training complex increased this weekend. The Covid-19 virus has somehow managed to penetrate the sports complex in spite of the club's best efforts to ensure the area is a safe haven for playing staff, coaches and employees.

Sergio Santos one of the infected Castilla players was included in the squad list for the Borussia Mönchengladbach game as Zidane was without injured defenders Carvajal, Odriozola and Nacho, and the B team player trained alongside the senior players on Friday. The results of the testing for all players ahead of the league game against Huesca was negative for the entire squad.

At present the laboratory who conduct the tests will notify the club of the results late on Sunday with the positives amongst the Castilla squad (which prompted their 2B game to be cancelled on Sunday) adding additional cause for concern with the crucial Champions Lesague game against Inter some 48 hours away.
