Sevilla vs Real Madrid: live
Real Madrid can now go into next week's key Champions League clash with an added boost in morale after an away win over Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
The game never really game to life as a spectacle with plenty of tired legs on display for both teams and the deciding goal had a great deal of fortune as Bono mistimed a delivery into the box which was deflected by Ocampos, then Vinicius and then steered into the Sevilla net by the keeper himself.
The home side dominated in terms of possession and only created two real moments of danger through an acrobatic De Jong effort and substitute Suso who almost found the top corner with a sweet left footed effort.
Madrid were impressive defensively and Zidane will take plenty of positives from the game into next week's clash against a Borussia side who drew 2-2 away to Freiburg.

What the result and overall performance does is ever so slightly reinforce Zidane's position and with nothing better to remove the pressure than three points.
All over in Seville. A Bono og enough to decide the game at the Sanchez Pizjuan.
Last throw of the dice for Sevilla but it's been a disappointing display from the home side, despite dominating in terms of possession, Lopetegui's side lacked the craft to carve open the Real Madrid defence.

De Jong's acrobatic effort really the only spark of danger from Sevilla all evening. Lopetegui's side dominating proceedings in the centre of the park but unable to penetrate the Real Madrid defensive line.

A body blow for the home side with the goal coming just when Sevilla were very much in control. Modric carded for a pull.
Doubts about the author of the goal...a strike for Vinicius or an og from Bono ? Anyhow, it's SFC 0-1 Real Madrid

Possession and general stats. after 50'
Real Madrid are looking solid defensively as Sevilla have to track back when faced with a sea of black shirts.
Ocampos' body language doesn't look that of a player on top of his game. The Argentine striker was arguably the player of the season at the Sanchez Pizjuan last season but has yet to reproduce his best this season.

Despite the midweek reverse at the hands of Chelsea, Sevilla are mathematically through to next stage of the Champions League and will be in the 14 December draw. Madrid need a draw or win over Borussia MG on Wednesday.
