Barcelona and Real Madrid's women's teams will meet for the second time in history this Sunday, with a place at the summit at stake, at least for a short period of time in Madrid's case. The blaugranas come into this as the dominant side, on top of the table with some impressive numbers behind them.

They have 36 points - having won all 12 games played to date - and a total of 69 goals scored. They have conceded just the two. Los Blancos are only two points behind, but have already played three games more.

David Aznar's team were able to play their game against Santa Teresa last Sunday, beating them 1-0 with a goal in the last minute from Lorraine Navarro.

Barça remain clear favourites for the title this season, but getting something from this match would be a massive statement of progress from this fledgling Madrid team.
