African champions Al Ahly's striker Mahmoud Abdel Moneim "Kahraba" spoke to CAF's official website ahead of the team's ambition in FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar that gets underway on Thursday stressing that the Red Devils have only one target in mind which is lifting the tournament's trophy.

"Every player has his own ambitions, but the most important thing is to play well and help the team, "the 26-year-old told cafonline.com "My desire is to reach the final and win the Club World Cup with my team. We tell our fans that our goal is to win the tournament, not play one or two games and return home".

This is considered Al-Ahly's sixth appearance at the Club World Cup while Kahraba recalled his memories with the club's past participation when he was still a kid "I've been an Al Ahly fan since I was a kid, so I remember Al Ahly's previous performances at the Club World Cup. I remember skipping school to watch the games at the cafe. I've always dreamed of playing at the Club World Cup and that dream is finally going to come true."

Kahraba: Al Ahly is very important to me

The striker ended his conversation with a message directed to Al Ahly fans as he desired to tell them how much they and the club mean to him "The Al Ahly fans mean a great deal to me because I’m one of them. Al Ahly is something special in my life – I think of it as I would my father or mother. I hope I can continue playing with this team in the future and that we can achieve our goals and make the fans happy."
