Paul Pogba returned in spectacular fashion for Manchester United in their Europa League second leg last-16 tie against AC Milan at San Siro, where the Red Devils needed at least one away goal to secure their place in the quarter finals.

Following a six-week injury layoff, Pogba made his much-welcome return to the United squad for the crucial clash in Milan, and needed just two minutes to make an impact after coming off the bench half time, scoring the lone goal of the game that would see the Premier League side through the next round.

After a heroic second-half performance from the Frenchman, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was inevitably going to be quizzed on the 28-year-old midfielder's contract situation. With Pogba's current deal set to expire in 2022, Solskjaer said there were "discussions and talks" with the player, but stressed that "everyone in the team, and Paul included, is just focused on doing as well as we can this season."
