Chelsea, with half a ticket to the Champions League semifinals, will look to confirm their presence among the best four teams in Europe when they face Porto in Seville on Tuesday.

Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell led Thomas Tuchel’s team to a 2-0 win in their first showdown. The Portuguese giants will now need to overturn that deficit if they want to keep their European dream alive.

No defeats for Chelsea in Europe this season

The Blues will try to qualify for the semi-finals for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign and the stats show they might well make it, as they are unbeaten in their last nine Champions League matches.

However, in the Premier League they are sitting fifth, 20 points behind leaders Manchester City and one point adrift of fourth-placed West Ham.

Porto will fight until the end

Meanwhile, Sérgio Conceiçao’s men are still fighting for the Portuguese league, where they are second in the standings with 60 points (only two defeats in 26 matches), six behind Sporting CP.

The Portuguese team, who eliminated one of the pre-tournament favourites Juventus in the previous round, haven't advanced past the quarter-final stage since lifting the Champions League trophy in the 2003-04 season.

Tuchel has an injury-free squad

Chelsea have a fully fit squad for the second leg. Thiago Silva could return to the heart of the defence after his suspension against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Tuchel could make some changes and Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud could feature from the start.

N'Golo Kanté has overcome his injury and is also ready to play from the start, while Edouard Mendy will hope to match Fabien Barthez's record of winning eight consecutive Champions League matches.

Taremi to partner Marega in the attack

As for Porto, Mehdi Taremi, who will partner Moussa Marega up front, and midfielder Sergio Oliveira will be available again after serving suspensions in the first leg.

Diogo Costa, Iván Marcano and Mouhamed Mbaye are the only players that could miss out for Porto.
