Fans allowed

The local Madrid government confirmed on Tuesday (25 May) that 30% of the capacity of the Wanda Metropolitano stadium can be used by fans as the new covid cases in the capital continue to adopt a downward trend. This equates to a crowd of just over 21,000 set to watch the Spanish side go through the motions as they prepare for the Euros. Strict hygiene protocols will be put in place by the RFEF with the event set to be the biggest gathering of people since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 in the country.

Euro 2020

At Euro 2020, Spain will play in Group E and will face: Slovakia, Sweden and Poland at Seville's La Cartuja Olympic stadium with a limited number of spectators also allowed to attend the games.
