Celtics 108 vs 130 Nets: scores, summary, stats, highlights | NBA Playoff

The Brooklyn Nets are 2-0 after a blowout win over the Boston Celtics. Kevin Durant led the way with 26, and Joey Harris put on a shooting clinic.

The Brooklyn Nets move to 2-0 after the first two games from the Barclays Center with a 130-108 win. Joey Harris and the Nets got off to an explosive start, and didn’t slow down blowing the Celtics out before taking the series to Boston.

Harris hot out of the gate

The Nets barely needed their Big Three to climb out to a twenty point lead in the opening quarter. Joey “Buckets” Harris was zoned in from downtown, hitting four threes to start the game.

An 18-0 run in the first quarter gave the Nets a comfortable cushion which they kept throughout the game. Brooklyn dropped seven of their first ten three pointers to start the game and went to the halftime break up by 24 points.

KD and Harris led Brooklyn's offensive explosion

Brooklyn had 100 points with 3:30 left in the third quarter, and used most of the fourth quarter to rest their starters.

Kevin Durant led all scorers with 26, but Harris stole the show with his red hot shooting stroke from downtown. Joey “Buckets” finished with a playoff career high 25 points. Harden had 20 and Irving added 15.

Tatum left game in the 3rd, didn't return.

Jayson Tatum was held to just 7 points in the first half, and left the game in the third after getting poked in the eye. He came back to the bench, but by that time Boston was down 30 so didn’t return to action. Tatum ended the game with nine points.

Marcus Smart led the Celtics with 19 points, 17 in the third quarter, as he tried to lead Boston back into the game in the second half to no avail.

Nets doing it with defense

With all the talk of the Big Three, the big story after the first two games has been the Brooklyn defense. Over the course of the opening matchups they are allowing only 100 points a game, and will be looking to take that defensive intensity on the road.

Brooklyn are off to Boston up 2-0, and don’t show any signs of slowing down. Both contests from the Barclays Center saw the Nets in control, as Boston struggled to keep up with the high powered offense of one of the Eastern Conference favorites.

The Celtics will try to get back into the series in Game 3 at the Garden on Friday at 8:30 ET.

After spending the last few games together, are we close to seeing the Big Three at its best?

There are some big questions coming into tonight, and maybe the biggest revolves around the Brooklyn Big Three

Hello everyone, We are less than an hour away from tip off from the Barclays Center

The Brooklyn Nets are back at the Barclays Center for Game 2 against the the Boston Celtics. AS English will have live coverage, scores, stats and highlights throughout tonights pivotal game from Brooklyn as the Nets look to take a 2-0 lead to Boston after tonight’s contest.

Brooklyn scored just 16 points in the opening 12 minutes of Game 1. While it may have been surprising start for the Nets, one thing to remember is it was just the ninth time all season that their Big Three took the floor together.

The Celtics started Game 1 with a hot hand from downtown. They hit more than half of their 17 threes in the opening half.

There had been so much anticipation surrounding Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden joining forces and finding a rhythm on the offensive end, but the Nets won the game with defense in the second half. They held the Celtics to 20 points in both the third and fourth quarter and cruised to a 104-93 win.

Jayson Tatum was coming off of a 50 point performance in the Play-In Tournament, but the Nets kept him relatively subdued at 22 points, shooting just 6 for 20 from the field.

KD was the top scorer in Game 1 with 32 points, while Kyrie was a point away from dropping 30 and Harden had 21.

The more time the Big Three has to play together and find their stride offensively the more dangerous they will become. Tatum will need another monster game, but Boston can’t just rely on their star. They will need some support from guys like Kemba Walker.

Boston wants to go back home with the series split, but know getting a win in Brooklyn against the Big Three will be no easy task.
