Inter Miami won’t let Rodolfo Pizarro leave for free
The Mexican international has not performed as expected during his sophomore year in the MLS, and Inter Miami are willing to part ways with him.
Prior to the start of the 2021 Major League Soccer season, Inter Miami CF appointed Phil Neville as their new manager. Since the English manager took the job, he has spoken about Rodolfo Pizarro having a more important role in the team during the regular season.
But the Mexican international has failed to perform as expected during his sophomore year in the MLS and now the bosses are thinking about letting him go during the summer transfer window. Pizarro has started in five of six games this campaign and he has only given one assist. With the summer transfer window approaching, the bosses are ready to part ways with the Mexican international.
Pizarro won’t go for free
Phil Neville decided to omit the 27-year-old from the team’s last two games and during the international break he was not called to the Mexican national team. The problem is that Pizarro is a designated player and he earns roughly $3 million per season and according to transfermarkt his market value is $11 million.
According to GOAL, Inter Miami CF is willing to sell Pizarro only if the interested team pays the price tag they have put on him. The reason behind that is that the MLS franchise wants to get another designated player with Pizarro’s money, so they have placed a price tag on the Mexican international. Some of the players available this summer are Willian and David Luiz that have a high salary and Inter Miami can only afford them if they sell Pizarro at the right price.
