The partnership between Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX continues to grow stronger. On Tuesday it was announced that the Allegiant stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders, will host the 2021 and 2022 final of the Leagues Cup.

The best teams from both leagues

This tournament features clubs from MLS and Mexico’s top tier league and this year the final is scheduled for 22 September. Earlier this month, Liga MX and MLS announced the participants for this year’s tournament that includes four teams from each league.

This tournament is designed to fuel the rivalry between the two leagues and offer games of the highest quality for soccer fans across North America. The MLS clubs that will participate this year are Orlando City SC, New York City FC, Seattle Sounders FC and Sporting KC.

Meanwhile, Liga MX confirmed that Santos Laguna, Tigres UANL, Pumas and the winner between Club León or Chivas will participate in this year's campaign. The first quarter final duels will start on 10 August between Seattle and Tigres at the Lumen Field, followed by Sporting KC against the winner between León and Chivas at Children’s Mercy Park.

Then on 11 August, New York City will play against Pumas UNAM at the emblematic Yankee stadium. Followed by Orlando City SC, who will host Santos Laguna at the Exploria stadium in a single elimination match.
