Meanwhile, Liga MX confirmed that Santos Laguna, Tigres UANL, Pumas and the winner between Club León or Chivas will participate in this year's campaign. The first quarter final duels will start on 10 August between Seattle and Tigres at the Lumen Field, followed by Sporting KC against the winner between León and Chivas at Children’s Mercy Park.
Then on 11 August, New York City will play against Pumas UNAM at the emblematic Yankee stadium. Followed by Orlando City SC, who will host Santos Laguna at the Exploria stadium in a single elimination match.
