The UEFA Executive Committee met on Friday, 16 July to appoint the host cities for several key UEFA club competition finals through to 2025.

Following the need to relocate the 2021 UEFA Champions League final from Istanbul to Porto, it was decided to award the staging of the 2023 UEFA Champions League final to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. The Turkish city will also stage the group stage draw for this year's and next's UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

As a result of this step, the 2023 UEFA Champions League final originally to be played in Munich will be moved to 2025. Wembley Stadium will retain the rights to stage the UEFA Champions League final in 2024.

Both Dublin and Bilbao withdrew from hosting Euro 2020 games due to the covid health situation in both Ireland and the Basque Country and both cities have been compensated by being appointed to host forthcoming UEFA finals. Dublin will host the UEFA Europa League final in 2024, whereas Bilbao will host the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in 2024 and the UEFA Europa League final in 2025.
