Besiktaş will represent Turkey in the upcoming Champions League and are therefore looking for an experienced centre-back to allow them to compete. According to AS sources, the Turkish club's first choice is Diego Godín.

Eriksson to take over at Greek second-tier club?

Former England boss Sven-Göran Eriksson is reportedly in talks to take over at Greek second-division club SFK Pierikos. The Swedish media outlet SportExpressen says Pierikos could reach in agreement with Eriksson next week.

The 73-year-old, who has won league titles in Sweden, Portugal and Italy, has been unattached since leaving his post as the head coach of the Philippines in 2019.

With Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray recently joining Everton, the time has come for Brazilian forward Bernard to leave Goodison after three seasons at the club. The 28-year-old has signed for UAE side Sharjah FC on a two-year deal (until 2023), with Everton receiving a 1 million euro fee. Bernard bid his team mates and the fans farewell with a message on social media, "Everton is GIANT, has an incredible history and has the structure and capability to return to be and to conquer everything that it has been and conquered.
