NBA Draft social media reactions: The good, the bad, and the very shiny

The NBA Draft was this week, and as usual, fans took to social media to discuss the picks, trades, and fashion from the 2021 NBA draftees.

The number one pick went to the Detroit Pistons, who unsurprisingly selected Cade Cunningham from Oklahoma State. In fact, the top three went just as expected with the Houston Rockets selecting Jalen Green at number two and the Cleveland Cavaliers selecting Evan Mobley at number three.

After that, all the mock drafts pretty much went into the garbage, as Snuggs wasn’t selected until the fifth, after Toronto chose Scottie Barnes instead. Perhaps one of the more surprising drafts was Josh Primo to the San Antonio Spurs at pick number 12. He’s the youngest player in the draft, and wasn’t expected to be selected until later in the draft. Then, at the 13th pick, the Indiana Pacers went with the oldest guy in the draft, Chris Duarte.

Perhaps one of the most talked about topics of the draft, however, was the fashion. The draftees came dressed to impress with some unforgettable shiny suits, tributes to stars sewn into jackets, and matching father-son outfits.
