One of the biggest unknowns in Denver heading into the 2021 season has been regarding who will be their starting quarterback. But that question could soon be answered according to Broncos coach Vic Fangio.

In an interview with the Broncos' official website, Fangio indicated that "it is possible" that he will choose between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater after the franchise's second postseason game at Lumen Field against the Seahawks.

After the first preseason game, a 33-6 win over the Minnesota Vikings, it would appear that Lock has the advantage. The University of Missouri graduate started the game and completed five of seven passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

For his part, Bridgewater only saw action in two offensive series and also looked solid. He threw seven passes from eight attempts, gained 74 yards and made one touchdown. Meanwhile, the quarterback who completed the game was Brett Rypien, who made two passes and 24 yards.

Fangio on Lock and Bridgewater

Fangio explained that he could not make the decision after the game in Minnesota because Lock and Bridgewater were on par in terms of performance.

"I thought they both played very well," Fangio said after the game. "Kind of validated what I've been saying all camp that they're even-Steven. … I don't think any separation happened today in this game, if anybody's looking for it."
