Speculation has been growing throughout the summer months that Cristiano Ronaldo has been looking for an exit from Serie A giants Juventus.

Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio claimed yesterday that Manchester City were poised to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a two-year deal, although there were questions relating to the transfer fee the Premier League holders were prepared to pay for the striker. There was also the possibility of Gabriel Jesus or Bernardo Silva or even Raheem Sterling being included in a possible deal to sign Ronaldo. This comes after City failed to prise Harry Kane from Tottenham. According to Sky Sports, City have already made their offer: a contract until 2023, with a salary of 15 million net. Cristiano’s Juve contract runs out on 30 June 2022.

Today, the speculation takes another twist and the touted CR7 to Manchester City move looks like it may materialize with well connected Portuguese journalist Gonçalo Lopes claiming the player is indeed set for a Manchester return.
