Last Thursday, the 32 participants in this year's UEFA Champions League discovered their group stage opponents ahead of the start of the next stage of the competition. The following day, following the completion of both the Conference and Europa League draws,European football's governing body confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the 2021/22 group stage.

It would be a brave man who would bet against both Manchester City and PSG progressing from Group A and advancing to the Round of 16 of this year's Champions League. The deep pocketed sides should have too much to thwart any threat from Lepzig and Belgian outfit Brugge.
