Istanbul Basaksehir make official bid for James Rodríguez
The Turkish club, who have lost all three games this season, want the Colombian. Benítez has told him that he does not count on him.
According to reports in the Turkish press, Istanbul Basaksehir have made an official offer to sign Everton playmaker James Rodríguez.
The departure of Carlo Ancelotti and the arrival of Rafa Benítez at Everton has meant that the Colombian playmaker is no longer in the plans of the English club. James joined up with former boss Ancelotti on Merseyside, but his departure to Real Madrid has left the 30-year-old in a very delicate situation, as Benítez has already made his plans clear.
Despite not being in Benitez's plans, it seems unlikely that James will accept the offer from Istanbul Basaksehir, who are currently second from bottom in the Turkish league and have lost all three games they have played this season. The most likely option is for the former Madrid attacker to stay at Everton until at least the January transfer window.
