Ryder Cup: Sergio García made history
Although the US team won the tournament, Spanish golfer Sergio García of the European team made history as the player with the most Ryder Cup match wins.
"He's living Ryder Cup history."
Those were the words of Spanish teammate Jon Rahm, when talking about Sergio García. Rahm and García won 3&1 against team US' Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger. The two pulled off a comeback win to claim the victory in that match and it gave García the holder of most matches won at the Ryder Cup with 24 in total, surpassing Nick Faldo, who has 23.
European teammate and fellow Spaniard Jon Rahm described what it was like to play alongside him. "I grew up watching him play," he said. "I grew up watching Sevi and Oli, and that legacy is important."
In the end, the Americans won the Ryder Cup on Sunday with the largest margin of victory in Ryder Cup history, 19-9.
