Raúl Jiménez failed to find the back of the net for Mexico during the last international window of the year, but he remains on top form for his club. On Saturday the Mexican international made his 11th start of the Premier League season and scored to give Wolves a 1-0 win against West Ham.

"I feel really happy to help the team today. We knew that we had to bounce back after our last defeat so it's a good way to win,” said the 30-year-old after the game.

Third goal of the season for Raúl Jiménez

The striker ended West Ham’s four-game winning run with his solo goal and has netted three so far this season. In the 58th minute Daniel Podence gave the ball to Jiménez, who was at the edge of the box, and with a powerful shot with his right foot, he was able to beat Lukasz Fabianski.

This was an important win for Wolves, because they moved to sixth place in the Premier League after 12 matches and with a record of six wins, one draw and five defeats. Jiménez has become a key player for Wolves and has played all 12 games this season for a total 992 minutes.
