WC 2022 qualifier between Canada and US is a sell out

Over the weekend, the United States men’s national team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-0 in their last exhibition match of the year. The USMNT finished the year with a record of 17 wins in a calendar year and with the CONCACAF Nations League and Gold Cup trophies won over the past 12 months.

In search of booking their ticket to Qatar

The United States will return to action to play a trio of important games next month for the last matches of the World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF. They will host the El Salvador national team on 27 January ini Columbus, Ohio and three days later they will go on the road to play against Canada.

The Canadian national team confirmed on Sunday that there will be a sold out crowd at the Hamilton fortress for that game. Currently Canada sits in first place in the qualifiers with 15 points and the USMNT trails by one point. So this game could define who will take the first place at the end of the first international window of the year.

After playing Canada, the United States men’s national team will return to St. Paul, Minnesota to host Honduras. This will be a crucial trio of games for the USMNT because they could secure their ticket to the World Cup if they are able to obtain more than six points during the next international break, because after that there are only three matches left in the qualifiers.
