Football fans may have been disappointed that they didn’t get their Thursday Night Football fix in Week 17, as the NFL only scheduled Thursday games until Week 16.

All the Thursday NFL action has ended for the 2021-22 season, and almost all the remaining games of the regular season will be played on Sunday.

No TNF means more rest

The league usually doesn’t hold Thursday games towards the end of the season so as not to give teams the disadvantage of having a much shorter rest period as they head into the playoffs.

Postseason matches will play out on Saturday, Sunday and even Monday, when a wild card round game will be played. But for the moment, Thursday Night Football has come to an end.

Other NFL stories:

You’ll have to wait for the opening of the 2022-23 NFL season to catch another NFL game on Thursday night, as the league has firmed up an exclusive partnership with Amazon Prime for “Thursday Night Football". CBS, NBC, and FOX had previously aired this weekday game.
