Which team has won the Super Cup the most times? Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético…
Real Madrid is the team with most LaLiga trophies, while archrivals Barcelona are the Spanish Cup’s king. But who has more Super Cup titles?
The Spanish Cup, known as Supercopa de España, is a competition in which the winners and runners-up of LaLiga play against the winners and runners-up of the Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey).
It was founded in 1982 as a two-team tournament, with the winners of La Liga and the Copa champions fighting for the trophy in a two-legged affair, with the aggregate winner taking home the trophy.
But since the 2019-20 season, the tournament is contested by four teams, with two semi-finals and a final, all of which are single-leg games.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have historically dominated in the LaLiga standings and in recent years Atlético Madrid have also had their say in the domestic competition and in Europe.
