Jesús Corona transfer to Olympique Marseille falls apart

The high demands of the Mexican international are complicating the negotiations between Portuguese side Porto and the Ligue 1 club during the transfer window.

Jesús Corona transfer to Olympique Marseille falls apart

Jesús Manuel Corona went from being one of the most important players at Porto to a substitute this campaign. The Mexican international has made 17 appearances across all competitions this season and he has only provided one assist.

Two teams could sign Corona

The Mexican international has only started seven games and in 10 he has been substituted. So far this season Corona has only played 695 minutes and the people in charge are willing to part ways with him after almost seven years.

With the winter transfer window open he has been linked to clubs like Arsenal and Sevilla, but Olympique Marseille seemed to be in pole to sign him. Unfortunately negotiations are slowly falling apart between the Ligue 1 side and Porto due to the high demands from Corona.

The Mexican international was demanding a high salary and the bosses at Marseille didn’t accept his demands according to L’Équipe. The 29-year-old will become a free agent in the summer and he will not renew his contract with Porto.
