There is interest from Club América to sign me and I can’t really talk about it. But it is real,” said Paul Arriola who would welcome the opportunity to go back to Liga MX, but his focus right now is in the USMNT.

Arriola’s career in Mexico

In 2012, the United States international was offered a professional contract by the Los Angeles Galaxy, but opted to sign for Club Tijuana. At the time of the decision Arriola said: “I love the club [Tijuana], it’s my home team and the people down there are wonderful.”

The 25-year-old made his debut with the Liga MX slide in a pre-season match against Club América at Petco Park in San Diego, California on 6 July of 2013. In 2017, the United States international returned to Major League Soccer and signed with DC United.
