Keylor Navas: PSG goalkeeper tests positive for covid-19
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that the goalkeeper from Costa Rica tested positive for coronavirus and is now self-isolating until he recovers.
Paris Saint-Germain defeated Brest 2-0 with Kylian Mbappé and Thilo Kehrer scoring for the home side to give them the three points. For this match the manager Mauricio Pocchetino decided to start Gianluigi Donnarumma because Keylor Navas tested positive for covid-19 and he is now self-isolating.
Which goalkeeper has more clean sheets?
There has been a battle to become the starting goalkeeper for PSG throughout the season between Donnarumma and Navas. The Costa Rican has seen the most minutes so far this campaign, but he has conceded 17 goals and kept five clean sheets in 17 appearances across all competitions.
On the other hand, Donnarumma has served as the second option behind Navas under manager Pocchetino. The Italian has conceded nine goals and kept six clean sheets in 13 appearances across all competitions.
In numbers Donnaruma has proven to be better than Navas so far this season for PSG but Pochettino usually plays the veteran goalkeeper in the most important matches. The Italian will have the opportunity to play more games while the goalkeeper from Costa Rica recovers from covid-19.
