It's been a rather profitable 16 seasons for Aaron Rodgers at the Green Bay Packers as the 37-year-old quarterback now looks for more success in the 2021 postseason.

The reigning NFL MVP is currently believed to be worth approximately $120 million dollars. He was ranked 45th on Forbes Magazine’s list of the world’s highest-paid athletes, and 10th on the list of highest-paid NFL players. And even a spat with POTUS is unlikely to change that.

Rodgers' Green Bay contracts

Rodgers first signed on with the Packers in 2005, starting with a five-year entry-level contract worth $7.7 million. He spent the first three years as a backup for legendary quarterback Brett Favre.

After that, Green Bay signed him to a six-year $65 million extension that ran until 2014, this time as their lead quarterback.

Rodgers delivered, while the Packers cashed in on their investment, clinching a Super Bowl victory in 2010.

More from the NFL:

Record-breaking contract

In 2013, the Packers made sure the star quarterback would be in for the long haul, and made another long-term play for him. Rodgers signed a five-year contract extension for $110 million, which made him the highest-paid player in the football league’s history at the time.

In 2018, he agreed to stay on with the Packers to the tune of a $134 million four-year contract. By the time this contract ends in 2023, Rodgers’ on-field earnings will have reached $315 million.

Rodgers: celebrity endorser

Rodgers’ riches do not only come from his salary. He is also hugely popular as a product endorser, with estimated earnings of $9 million per year. He has had endorsement deals with brands such as Adidas, Bose, Prevea Healthcare, Izod, Pizza Hut, and State Farm Insurance.

He has other business ventures as well, the most high-profile of which is his investment in the NBA. In April 2018 Rodgers was declared to be a minority partner among the owners of the Milwaukee Bucks.

With this development he became the first active NFL player to have an ownership stake in a franchise of the basketball league.
