The first window of 2022 World Cup ticket sales is currently open despite the draw for the tournament still to take place with the competition kicking-off in Al-Khor on 21 November and concluding on 18 December.

Despite ticket pricing for international fans higher in general than those for Russia 2018 (Qatari residents can however apply for competitively priced tickets), demand has been intense with FIFA confirming 1.2 million ticket requests within the first 24 hours of sale.

With the cheaper tickets, the highest number of requests hail from Qatar with Argentina, Mexico and the United States completing the podium for the international market.

The United Arab Emirates, England, India, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and France complete the top 10 nations with the highest volume of ticket requests.

More than 140,000 tickets have been requested for the final due to take place on 18 December 2022 at Lusail Stadium, and over 80,000 for the opening match which will be staged at the Al-Bayt Stadium.

The current ticket sales period concludes on 8 February with later windows to be opened once the draw for the tournament has been concluded.
