The Man, the Myth and the Legend

When it comes to most elite level professional athletes, the salaries they receive and the lifestyles they live can be quite dizzying. On the other hand, it’s not often we actually get a look at the dollars and cents as they break down. How many homes do they own?  How many cars?  Most of all how much do they get paid so that they can afford it all?  These questions and more will be answered as we take a closer look at Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Junior or as the world has come to know him, Tom Brady, the recently retired quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

At 44 years old and seemingly showing no signs of wear and tear, it’s hard to forget the impressive 20 seasons that Brady spent with the New England Patriots where he became not just a household name but a legend. With the Patriots, Tom was a central figure in what would ultimately become a dynasty during the period of 2001 to 2019. Considered by many sports writers, commentators, players and fans to be the greatest quarterback and player of all time, one can only imagine what kind wealth he possesses.

Yet there is also Brady’s ‘side hustle’ which according to the New York Post is a mouthwatering $26 million real estate portfolio. In fact it would seem that Tom alongside his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen - who herself boasts a net worth of $400 million - has proven himself quite adept in the industry, having already sold in excess of $140 million while raking in a cool $30 million in commission. To date the couple continues to negotiate multi-million dollar sales with no signs of slowing down.

But is Tom Brady the GOAT?

It’s safe to say that when talking about stars in any sport, opinions more often than not end up divided. On the other hand when you’re talking about someone who is considered the greatest of all time, things can get even more heated. Is Tom Brady the best ever? It's a question that everyone from the fans to Lebron James has had a take on and while it will always come down to a matter of preference, the numbers simply don’t lie.
