Based in the greater Los Angeles area, the LA Rams are a franchise that plays in the National Football Conference (NFC) of the NFL. The Rams have won two NFL championships (1945 and 1951) and one Super Bowl (2000). Let us take you through those.

Only three years ago, we saw Los Angeles at Super Bowl 53. Since then, the team hasn’t changed much; Cooper Kupp is still one of the league’s strongest receivers, if not the best. Sean McVay is still the head coach leading the Rams, and Aaron Donald continues to be double trouble for offenses.

One year ago, the Lions traded Matthew Stafford to the Rams, and he’s been the missing piece to the puzzle in Los Angeles. The 33-year-old quarterback transformed the passing attack into one of the NFL’s best and led the franchise to one playoff win after the other, leading to 20-17 win over the 49ers.

Let’s take a look at the Rams' Super Bowl history and the times they’ve won.

When was the last time the Rams went to a Super Bowl?

As mentioned above, Los Angeles was last seen at the Super Bowl in 2019, when the New England Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3 in what is the lowest scoring Super Bowl game in history till this day. Before 2019, the Rams had only gone once to the Super Bowl as a Los Angeles-based team, in 1980 when they faced the Steelers.

Rams Super Bowl history

Super Bowl 24, Jan. 20, 1980 vs Steelers - Steelers 31, Rams 19

Super Bowl 34, Jan. 30, 2000 vs Titans - Rams 23, Titans 16

Super Bowl 36, Feb. 3, 2002 vs Patriots- Patriots 20, Rams 17

Super Bowl 53, Feb. 3, 2019 vs Patriots-  Patriots 13, Rams 3

How many Super Bowls have the Rams won?

In four trips to the Super Bowl from 1980 to 2019, the Rams have only claimed one title. Their last Super Bowl win was in 2000 against the Tennessee Titans, under Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk.

The Rams now prepare to face the Cincinnati Bengals, who haven’t made the Super Bowl since 1988, at SoFi Stadium in Super Bowl LVI.
