El Salvador vs Canada: times, TV and how to watch online

Canada could practically secure one of the three automatic qualifying places for 2022 Qatar if they can manage to beat El Salvador on Wednesday night. John Herdman’s team sit top of the CONCACAF standings on 22 points from 10 games and remain the only unbeaten team during the qualifying round.

They will be up against an El Salvador side who have lost exactly half of their qualifying games and are sixth on nine points - eight points adrift of Panama in fourth. With a possible 12 points still in play, La Selecta are mathematically still in with a chance of sealing the sole play-off place - that however, would require a miracle. Nevertheless, Hugo Pérez’s side go into Wednesday’s game encouraged by their 0-2 win over Honduras in their last outing - with goals coming from Nelson Bonilla and Darwin Cerén.

Canada eased to a comfortable 3-0 win when El Salvador visited BMO Field in Matchday 3 back in September.
