The wait begins
Next season will start on September 15th, which means we have 213 days until football returns.
When the game was on the line Aaron Donald stepped up and stopped Mixon on the 3rd and 1 and then got to Burrow on the next play to seal the game for the Rams
Clutch time is Coop's time
Bittersweet night for Odell Beckham Jr. who had to watch from the sideline after suffering a non contact injury in the first half.
As the dust settled over the SoFi Stadium on Sunday night, the attention of Super Bowl fanatics (and the remainder of NFL teams beyond the Rams and Bengals) will have turned to the next edition of the greatest show on earth, Super Bowl Super Bowl LVII.
The Chiefs and the Bills have emerged as early favourites with the betting companies to be crowned NFL champions on 12 February 2023, the two teams having played out one of the most exciting games of the 2021 playoffs at Arrowhead Stadium.
Right after the touchdown Awuzie comes up with the pick that set up a McPherson field goal
The beginning of the third quarter could not have gone better for the Bengals. This 75 yard touchdown was the first play of the second half.
The halftime show was packed full of legends of the rap and hip hop game, and packed full of hits.
The Bengals going into their bag of tricks for the first touchdown of the Bengals game.
Kupp, the triple crown winner, and Super Bowl winner with the 11 yard TD ctach
Odell Beckham with the opening TD of the day.
At 38 years old, Sean McVay becomes the youngest coach to win a Super Bowl in the history of the NFL
Coop in the clutch
Kupp had 4 catches for 39 yards and a touchdown on that final drive for the Rams.
Rams pressured Burrow all night
That LA defense stepped up like a champion unit should. They sacked Burrow six times in the second half, and seven times all night. Donald was the anchor of that defensive side all year long, and he was again on the biggest game of the year.
Kupp MVP
Cooper Kupp is the MVP of Super Bowl LVI after catching passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns
The way the Rams were able to overcome the injury to Odell Beckham Jr. was incredible. The way the second half started, it looked like the Rams were sinking fast. What a gutsy performance from Stafford, Donald, Kupp and the Rams.
The Rams become the second team in history to win the Super Bowl under their own roof. The only onther time it happened was last year in Tampa Bay.
Maybe not the time to wonder, but I want to see if Burrow is wearing the same outfit he wore pregame.
Injured OBJ in tears after Rams win Super Bowl
Odell Beckham Jr. left the Super Bowl with a knee injury in the second quarter. He had the first touchdown of the night and could easily have been the star player for the Rams had he continued to play.
The Rams seemed to have lost some of their mojo after OBJ left the field, whether that was related or not. Matthew Stafford started throwing sloppy passes including some interceptions, got sacked several times, and was even injured on a sack, limping off the field in the second half.
OBJ was clearly upset at getting injured, as it was bad enough to keep him out of the rest of the game. The Rams were able to stay in the game and hold off the Bengals just enough to get the win over the Bengals 23-20. You could see how much it meant to him, as he was in tears at the end of the game.
Kupp was quiet for a long while after OBJ left the field with a knee injury, but when the Rams needed him he steps up and wins the game for Los Angeles
How big was Donald on the last two plays? He stopped Mixon on 3rd and 1 and then put the pressure Burrow on 4th down.
Not sure he'll top Kupp for the MV, but he certainly had his say on how this game played out.
The Rams went all in this year and it pays off in the shape of the Super Bowl. They brought in Stafford, they brought in Miller, they brought in OBJ with one goal in mind, win the Super Bowl .
GAME OVER!!! LOS ANGELES ARE SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!!
The Rams are Super Bowl champions for the first time since 2000.
Turnover on downs
It's all over!!! Burrow was nearly sacked and let a desperation heave down the field and it falls incomplete!
The Rams are going to be Super Bowl Champions!!!
4th and 1 and this is the ball game. The Bengals take a timeout with 43 seconds to go.
Chase with a 17 yard catch and run, to get CIN by midfield with under a minute left.
Burrow has 1:25 get the Bengals into McPherson's range.
Kupp with TD number 2 on the day.
TOUCHDOWN RAMS!!!!
Stafford to Kupp for the 1 yard TD and the Rams take the lead!!
LA are up 23-20 with 1:25 to go in the game.
Stafford on the QB keeper is stopped and that will force the Bengals to take a timeout.
Stafford going to Kupp, and another flag is thrown, this time a pass interference on Awuzie. That will give the Rams 1st and Goal from the 1.
Kupp scored, but there were offsetting penalties, so we will have a first and Goal from the 4 all over again.
A holding flag on Wilson will give the Rams a first down from the 4 yard line.
Stafford had Jefferson in the back of the endzone and overthrew him. That was the go ahead play for the Rams.
Now the timeout game comes into play. Will the Rams want to run clock before scoring? Obviously the priority is scoring, but if they could get the Bengals to spend some timeouts before giving the ball back.
Akers barreling his way inside the 10 on one of the best runs of the game for LA. That takes us to the two minute warning with the Ram8 yards away from taking the lead.
Stafford to Kupp on the slant for a 22 yard gain. It's time for Coop to take over. He's been quiet since Odell went out with injury.
Stafford is moving the Rams down the field bit by bit, dinking his way into Cincy territory.
Kupp on the end around converts the 4th down with a 7 yard gain, and of course they go to the Offensive Player of the Year on the biggest play of the year.
Akers is stopped short of the marker and have a 4th and 1 on their own 30. Big call coming up
Stafford hits Hopkins for 9 yards on the first pass of the drive.
Boyd with a terrible time to drop his first pass of the season. It was 3rd and 8 and it looked like he was going to get the first down if he just made the catch. Instead the Bengals punt and the Rams will take over from their 21.
There are six and a half minutes to go in the 4th quarter. You have to think each team will get at least one more possession each. Time is winding out for both teams.
Burrow hits Evans for a three yard gain, and that's just the third third down conversion of the game for the Bengals.
Mixon with a first down after a 12 yard gain and that's good news for the Bengals who needed a to move the chains.
The Rams look a bit toothless right now without OBJ. That three and out took just over minute.
Under 10 minutes to go from Sofi Stadium
On the replay Burrow went down very akwardly and was screaming in pain after hitting the ground. We'll see how he's feeling when the Bengals get the ball back, but right now the Rams have the ball with a chance to take the lead.
Burrow gets sacked for the fifth time in the half. This time he is slow to get up after the third down play.
Cincy is just 2-11 of thrid down.
Every first down is key for either team. The Bengals want to move the chains and wind some clock. Burrow skips out of the pocket and hits Boyd for 16 yards.
Jeffereson couldn't reel in the one handed catch down the sideline, and on 4th and 7 the Rams will punt.
Still nothing happening for the Rams on the ground. 3rd and 7 coming up from midfield
We are headed to the 4th quarter!!! Fifteen minutes to decide a winner of SUper Bowl LVI!
LA has the ball at midfield down 20-16
Burrow held off on the sacks for a while, but once they started, they just kept coming. He’s had four total so far and two came just in a row after Stafford’s sacks turned the ball back over to the Bengals. In the third quarter, the defense is back on as both the Rams and Bengals were held to field goals and then forced to punt after QB sacks.
The big question going into the fourth quarter is which quarterback to you want on your side late in tight game?
LA get to Burrow on the first two plays of the drive and Burrow has been sacked five times this half.
Stafford looks to be ok on the sideline after gettng his ankle rolled up on that last sack. He got a tape job by the medicall staff and should be ok.
Stafford sacked by Reader on thrid down, and Stafford goes to the sideline limping.
So much was talked about the Rams pass rush, but it's the Bengals who are getting to Stafford.
The Rams aren’t utilizing the run game hardly at all and Stafford is looking rough in the second half. He’s sacked again late in the third and he’s throwing sloppy passes galore. To male matters worse, he’s now limping off after that last sack.
Awuzie is on the bench injured, and that could be a key loss for the Bengals.
The Bengals have had success in this second half without having to run the ball, but that doesn't mean they can abandon the run now.
They go three and out after Burrow under throws Chase, punt coming up.
FIELD GOAL RAMS!!!
Kupp couldn't hit Stafford on the wide receiver pass on 3rd and 5, even though he was wide open! The over thrown pass brings out Gay who hits the 51 yard field goal.
This has been a fantastic drive in maybe the most important moment of the game. The Rams have to make sure they make something out of this possession after marching down the field
Kupp makes his first contribution of the second half. He has to be big for LA, but Cincy know that he's going to be the key to the Rams offense in this second half.
Huge first down for the Rams who needed any kind of positive play. Stafford hit Henderson to move the chains on the 15 yard gain.
It has not been a great start for the Rams, how do they respond after giving up the lead?
Auwzie with the pick a play after the Bengals touchdown
Burrow sacked again
Just after the two big plays, Burrow was sacked for the second time tonight. He’s starting to look better in the pocket, but not perfect. You have to remember Burrow is just 25 years old and a few years out of college. It’s hard to remember when you see him completing those 75-yard passes into the end zone in a Super Bowl game though, isn’t it?
HIggins making his case for MVP with his 2nd TD of the game.
FIELD GOAL BENGALS!!!
Burrow is swalloed up in the the backfield by Aaron Donald, and the Bengals have to settle for a field goal.
Cincy leads by a touchdown after a great start to the first half.
Burrow getting out of the pocket
The Bengals are known for those explosive plays and they get one in just 7 seconds after starting the second half with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Higgins. Burrow is doing what he needs to: getting out of the pocket but making smart decisions. The Rams defense isn’t expecting that going into the second half. The Bengals defense on the other hand, are right there when Stafford makes a pass to Skowronek that bounces off his shoulder and into the arms of Awuzie. In just 22 seconds, the Bengals get a touchdown and turnover. The Rams are faltering.
Uzomah with his first catch of the second half, and what a courageous performance after spraining his knee two weeks ago.
Burrow takes it all on his own, He tucks and runs after the seas part in the middle of the O line.
Fourth and short coming up. The Bengals already went for one earlier today, and will go for it again now.
A little skirmish after Donald sends Burrow to the ground. Spain came over to defend his QB and teams collided on the sideline. No flags were thrown.
INTERCEPTION!!!
ON the first play after the touchdown, Skowronek bobbles the ball and it falls right into the hands of Awuzie.
In two plays the Bengals score a 75 yard TD, and an interceptions.
TOUCHDOWN BENGALS!!!
On the first play of the second half Burrow goes deep to Higgins for a 75 yard touchdown!!! Ramsey fell trying to cover the receiver, and on the replay you can see Higgins got his facemask garbbed and that's why he fell. Big point of contention on the first play of the game.
Cincy leads for the first time all day.
Here we go! Thirty minutes to decide a winner of Super Bowl LVI from Sofi Stadium.
The Bengals have 43 rushing yards, while the Rams have just 26. Mixon is the leading rusher, with 40 yards not to mention his touchdown pass.
We are just moments away from the start of the second half. The Bengals will receive first.
Last second heroics?
We have had some incredible finshes this year, and this game seems like we are headed towards another tight 4th quarter. Will this be a game that is won on the final snap of the last quarter?
Extended halftime falls in whose favor?
These long halftimes have a way of throwing teams off their game. Halftimes are usually 15 minutes, this will be pushing 40 minutes when it's all said, or sung, and done.
That's why Brady had such an advantage for all those years. He was used to the big break between halves.
The quarterback battle through the first half
First half summary
The Rams looked like they had the Bengals right where they wanted them, but 13-3 early in the second quarter. The Bengals got the run game going and as a result got back into the game.
At the moment you have to think the Bengals have the advantage coming into the second half. They get the ball back to start the third quarter, and the unfortunate injury to Beckham will allow their secondary to focus on Kupp in the final two quarter.
The Bengals digging into the bag of tricks for their first touchdown of the game.
Stafford to Kupp and it looked like the Rams were rolling to start.
OBJ give the Rams the early lead with this 17 yard TD.
Halftime show getting the attention
I'll keep giving you my thoughts on that first half and what we can expect in the second but it's clear on social media that focus is turning to the extravaganza.
Half-time show live
You can follow the half-time show, featuring Eminen, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige, with Reem, right here.
The Bengals will knee out the clock, and that takes us to halftime. The Rams seemed like they were in control for the first 20 minutes, but the Bengals like they so often do get back into the game.
Rams lead 13-10 after two quarters.
2nd Quarter Review
The Rams might be starting to waiver a bit and the Bengals are motivated to take the lead. Stafford so far has only had a few incomplete passes, but they really haven't affected the Rams too much. Just after an incompletion to Kupp, he threw a 35-yard cross-route pass to OBJ and then a 25-yard pass to Henderson. OBJ was hurt during one of the plays a little later though which is a big loss for the Rams still in the first half. Just after that big loss, Stafford threw it deep into the end zone but it was intercepted by Bates to give the Bengals the ball back. Burrow was sacked for the first time by Floyd just before the half, putting them at 4th and 14, but even still, going into the second half, the game is indeed starting to even out.
The Rams take their last time out with 18 seconds left after the Kupp 9 yard gain.
Beckham's knee injury update
Rams injury update on that knee injury to Beckham that saw him pull him up in agony and go to the turf. He walked off, but was looking very unhappy. Rams now confirm he may not be able to play any further part.
Stafford will have 30 seconds to extend the lead before the halftime break. Remember the Benglas differed so they will get the ball back to start the third.
Burrow is dropped in the backfield and now it's the Rams who take a timeout eyeing a late half score.
The Bengals are looking for the sidelines, but the clock continues to run after after Boyd is dropped. CIN takes a timeout before third down.
The Bengals have less than two minutes to work the ball down the field to tie or take the lead.
INTERCEPTION!!!
ON 3rd and 14 Stafford is picked off in the endzone by Bates III. Stafford had time and was looking for Jefferson, but Bates III forces the first Rams turnover of the game.
Beckham walked off the field, but is in the medical tent now getting that left knee looked at. He went down without any contact which is never a good sign.
Beckham is down and being attended to by the medical staff after dropping a pass from Stafford.
That would be a devastating blow for the Rams who have been using OBJ all day long.
The Rams have had no trouble moving the ball since punting on the first possession. LA is back around midfield with under 4 minutes to go.
Rams butcher 2-point conversion and Bengals get TD on a trick play
The Bengals defense are giving them more opportunities to catch up to the Rams, but the Rams defense are taking advantage of young Burrow. The Rams are still looking a little cleaner to me so far, but I’m having a hard time understanding why they went for two after Stafford threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp. It ended up being intercepted by the Bengals, which led to the Bengals getting their first touchdown of the night. Guess what though? It wasn’t Burrow who got that TD. It was Mixon, who passed it off to Higgins, who took it into the end zone. The trick plays work for the Bengals.
TOUCHDOWN BENGALS!!!
Mixon on the half back pass hits Higgins in the back of the endzone. If you look a little farther down the feed, we spoke about the Bengals using some trickery early on.
LA leads 13-10 with 5:47 to go in the first half.
Chase with a great grab on a pass that was a bit behind him in the flat. He picks up the third down with a 4 yard gainer and it's 1st and Goal from the LA 7.
There's the first third down conversion for the Bengals after Burrow hits Higgins on 3rd and 6. The 14 yard gain moves the chains and has the Bengals inside the redzone for the second time today.
Mixon is finding some running room against the Rams. They certainly weren't the most preoccupied about Mixon taking this game over, but hes got the Bengals down inside the LA 35.
Burrow hits Boyd on first down to get the drive started. First downs are going to be instrumental for the Bengals. They have to avoind thrid and longs against the Rams defense who will be looking to tee off on the Burrow.
Stafford is 9/10 for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
TOUCHDOWN RAMS!!!
Stop me if you've heard this before.. Stafford to Kupp for the touchdown! The play action left Kupp wide open in the back of the endzone for the 11 yard score.
LA looks like they have all year long, while the Bengals can get nothing going.
Play action for Stafford and that opens up Henderson down the left sideline for 25 yards and the Rams are marching down the field. The Bengals defense is looking a bit stunned at the moment as the Rams are inside the 10 yard line.
Stafford to Beckham for 35 yards, and it seems like the Bengals are so worried about Kupp, they are leaving OBJ wide open.
Weddle had a brace put on that right shoulder, and we will see if he comes out for the Rams next possession.
Look at this catch from Chase. He turned on the jets to get make that catch.
We are at the end of the first quarter, and the Rams are in the lead after the OBJ touchdown. It doesn't look like Cincy's offense is going too have many long, time consuming drives. Most their scoring drives will come from big plays like Chase's 46 yard pick up.
1st quarter review
The Rams are looking like the better team so far, but the night is young. Both defenses are working hard to prevent much movement, but the Bengals and Rams were both able to make those huge plays. The Rams got a big gain with Cooper Kupp and 17-yard touchdown pass to OBJ. Ja’Marr Chase made the huge play for the Bengals. Burrow threw a bit long, but Chase is FAST and he was able to snag the catch for a 46-yard gain! Unfortunately for the Bengals, Burrow threw several incomplete passes after that and were held to the field goal. He also threw away a pass to Evans earlier in the quarter, which cost them, turning the ball back over to the Rams. If the Bengals want to stay in this, they’ll need Burrow to not just think quick, but think smart.
Field Goal Bengals!!!
The Bengals Mr. Perfect, Evan McPherson, nails the 29 yard field goal after Higgins couldn't hang on to the 3rd down pass from Burrow.
Weddle just hurt his shoulder making a tackle on Mixon. He stays in the game but we will keep an eye on him
How did Chase catch up to that ball? What an incredble catch from the rookie to bring the Bengals to down to the 11 yard line after the 46 yard ptich and catch.
There's MIxon getting his first action of the game and he picks up 12 yards on his opening run of the Super Bowl.
Great return from Taylor who takes the Bengals out of the 30 after a twenty yard return.
Let's see if the Benglas try to get the run game going a bit here.
The Bengals hold the Rams after Jefferson is stopped short of the marker by Awuzie. Punt coming up.
Andrew Whitworth is rocking a badge with the Walter Payton Man of the Year Trophy on his jersey. Well deserved for the 40 year old who has done so much for his community.
Can Burrow avoid the sacks without throwing away the football?
Burrow has to be conscious of how important getting rid of the ball is tonight. The most-sacked QB in the league may have gotten this far, but to win the Super Bowl, he’s going to have to think quicker. He’s able to make the connection with his former LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase, but it’s not enough. Under pressure and with Evans open, he throws it right over his head.
Burrow had Evans open down the sideline after getting all sorts of time in the backfield, but the second year QB overthrew his running back to bring up 4th down.
That was a nervy throw from Burrow. He can sometimes take a while to get into a game, but the Bengals defense has to keep Cincy in the game in the meantie.
Chase makes his first Super Bowl catch on a slant pattern up the middle for six yards. Third down coming up.
Cincy comes out for their second possession looking for their first first down.
Nerves are a part of the game, especially when you play in your first Super Bowl, but Stafford is looking comfortable starting the game.
OBJ with the opening score of the night after a perfect pass from Stafford.
Kupp set up the TD with this 20 yard catch and run.
OBJ TD breaks up the defensive game in the 1st quarter
The Rams and Bengals both get held to 4th down on their first possessions. The defenses came out to play tonight. These two teams are some of the best big-play offenses, but you wouldn’t know it by the way the defenses are working so far. On the Rams’ second possession, the Bengals defense still put the pressure on, but Stafford was able to scramble and Kupp gets them the first down! The triple crown king continues to be clutch in the Super Bowl. It’s OBJ with the first touchdown of the game when Stafford passes 17 yards into the end zone and we see that big-play offense at last!
TOUCHDOWN RAMS!!!
Stafford lays a dime right into the chest of OBJ for a 17 yard touchdown.
The Bengals turnover on downs is converted to 7 points after a quick strike drive polished off by the Rams midseason signing.
There's Kupp introducing himself to the Bengals defense with a 20 yard gain, and as he has done all year picks up a ton of YAC after making the first man miss.
Stafford escapes the rush, tucks and runs and we've seen him running more and more this post season. He had his first rushing TD in almost a decade earlier in the playoffs
Here come the Rams after the defensive hold. The Rams look committed to running the ball, but so far the Bengals have been all over Akers.
Burrow drops back and gets his pass knocked down on 4th and short. Not sure I agree with the decision after failing to pick up the first down on second and third and short.
Instead of pinning the Rams back deep in their own half, LA gets the ball at midfield.
Perrine is stopped short of the marker, and we have our first fourth and short.
This has been a year of going for it on 4th and short, and the Bengals will follow suit.
Burrow goes to the air on the first play, hitting Boyd for 8 yards and the Bengals are already at midfield.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Bengals go with some trickery right off the bat. Cincy has a certain sort of swag that makes their opponents have to expect anything and everything.
The Bengals D steps up after giving a first down and hold the Rams after the Hendrickson sack. Burrow and the Bengals will take over from the CIN 42.
Stafford is dropped by the All Pro Hendrickson, and he just toasted the 40 year old Whitworth.
The Rams go run first, with a five yard pick up for Akers. The ground game will be important to open up space down field for Kupp and OBJ.
We are underway in Super Bowl LVI. The Bengals kickoff after winning the toss and differing
Where's Buffer?
The Rock is giving the introduction for both teams, but my question is where is Michael Buffer? He has been the guy introducing the games all year long at Sofi Stadium, but on the biggest game of the year they pick Dwayne Johnson?
Here we go with the commercials! The first one was a trailer for the new Jurassic Park movie.
Bengals win the toss
Billy Jean King is out ot flip the coin! We've already talked about the importance the coin flip could play if this game goes to overtime.
A matter of minutes
Next up is the coin toss. We are getting close. It's been a long road getting here today, but the glitz and glam of the pregame is almost over. It's time for football.
Guyton goes over
Guyton sang for 1:51 seconds going over by 16 seconds. Those who took the over, well done. You're up on the day, but we've still got plenty of time for you to give it back to the book.
Nothing will ever top Whitney Houston's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, but this has been pretty good.
Mickey Guyton has started singing, start your clocks!
I get the National Athem being sung befoer the game, but America The Beautiful is a little too much if you ask me.
Guyton to get things going
The National Anthem is coming up from Sofi Stadium. Mickey Guyton will be belting out the Star Spangled Banner. The question is will the antem last Over or Under 95 seconds? That is the first prop bet of the night.
And here come the Benglas led by Joe Burrow!
The Rams have taken the field to a roar from the "home fans"
Rodgers MVP
Aaron Rodgers was named the MVP of the NFL in Thursday's NFL Honors Show. Tom Brady, Jonathan Taylor, Cooper Kupp and Joe Burrow were amung the other candidates for the award.
Rodgers had his season ended by the Niners in the Divisional Round. Then the Rams beat the the Niners in the NFC Championship

She'll have all the news as the stars arrive at SoFi stadium, the expected biggest hits, and then in-depth coverage as the titans of hip-hop take California by storm.
The biggest NFL season of all time
This has been one of the best NFL seasons I can rememeber. The start of the season was packed full of primetime close games, and late winners. The playoffs were no different. Eight of the 12 games this post season were one possession games.
Akers comeback
While the quarterbacks will be the central focus of tonight's game, Cam Akers and Joe Mixon could be the difference makers tonight. While Burrow gets all the accolades for his miraculous comeback from his knee injury, but I don't think anyone has had a more incredible comeback than Akers. He ruptured his Achilles tendon in July, and returned to the field six months later.
Fans heating up ahead of Rams-Bengals
Sweltering in long, airport-type security lines did nothing to diminish the mood of fans arriving at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood near Los Angeles on Sunday for Super Bowl LVI.
Temperatures climbed into the mid-80s outside the stadium, which is home to a Los Angeles Rams team looking to secure a championship against the Cincinnati Benglas after falling short in the Super Bowl three years ago. '(Rams head coach Sean) McVay is gonna learn from the last Super Bowl,' said California resident Nick Gonzales.
'He's gonna be more prepared against a good team and a good coach and the Rams are gonna win.' Despite their underdog status, Bengals fans were equally confident. 'Bengals are gonna win of course,' said Matthew Webb of Cincinnati. 'Super pumped up, beyond hyped, ready for them to hoist the Lombardi trophy later today.'
In the surrounding neighborhood, residents looking to capitalize on the crush of fans were asking hundreds of dollars for parking spaces, selling jerseys, bacon-wrapped hot dogs and lemonade.

Teams never to have won a Super Bowl
2022 will be a year of firsts when it comes to the Super Bowl!
Although the Rams have one Super Bowl title, they have never won in Los Angeles where the team is now located. The Bengals on the other hand have never won a Super Bowl, so they have the opportunity to take how their first win!
There are actually twelve teams never to have won the title and four teams have yet to even reach the Super Bowl. Allow me to explain more.
Tickets prices this year have been among the most expensive in NFL history, and with local Rams fans not having to fork out for travel or accommodation, purse strings have been stretched for those unique barcodes.
From what we've seen across ticketing websites, the average cost for a ticket to Super Bowl LVI is around $9,000. The cheapest we've seen came in at about five grand while the most expensive was a cool $110,000, assuming you want a suite for 18 companions. Compare that to last year's event, when there were fewer seats available due to restrictions, where the average price was just over $8,000.
But do you know the cost if the first ever Super Bowl ticket and how much that would be worth in today's money? If not, click on the picture above to find out.
QB comparison
Obviously there are many more factors, but they biggest part of this game is going to be quarterback play.
Burrow passed for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions while Stafford had 4,886 with 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
How many watch the Super Bowl?
The last ten Super Bowls have been the most watched games of all time, with the past eight the most watched programs in US television history.
Last season’s Super Bowl, which saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win against the Kansas City Chiefs, had an estimated 91.6 million viewers in the United States alone. And even though that number can sound like a lot, that game attracted 22.4 million fewer viewers than the most watched Super Bowl in 2015: the Seahawks vs Patriots.
We've got the abacus out and will be tallying up the number of eyes on the show shortly after its conclusion.
We'll get a chance to come up for air as fans turn their attention to the performers at the halftime show at the end of the second quarter of the Rams vs Bengals game.
And unlike any other year, this halftime show will be all about rap with a touch of hip-hop featuring Dr. Dre, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige. Mickey Guyton will sing the national anthem, and Six-time Grammy-nominated artist Jhené Aiko will start off the night with “America the Beautiful” ahead of the anthem.
The artists have a combined 43 Grammys and 19 No.1 Billboard albums to their name, and this is the first time that so many Grammy winners are performing together at half-time. But while the exciting show is highly expected by millions around the world, it lasts for a fairly short time.
Game ready
The players are out on the field, and in full pads. I'm sure they are used to being in full gear, but it's an hour before the game. That's quite a long time to be in shoulder pads and a helmet.

If the game goes to overtime all eyes will be on the coin flip. There has been plenty of talk about the NFL overtime rules, and how a change is needed. Today the league said that they will discuss perhaps changing the rules this offseason.
Donald tipped for MVP
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but Aaron Donald will be the MVP of the game. The Bengals had a tough time against the Titans D line, allowing nine sacks. Donald and Vonn Miller are going to make it a long day for Burrow.
Ramsey vs. Chase
There are so many intruguing battles tonight, but of the most fascinating matchup tonight has to be Jalen Ramsey and Ja"Maar Chase.

The Offensive Player of the Year, Cooper Kupp, is out of the field in Sofi Stadium. Who is going to be able to stop him for Cincinnati?
Home Super Bowl for second straight year
For the second straight year a team in the Super Bowl will be playing for the Lombardi Trophy under their own roof. Last year the Tampa Bay Bucs won it all in Raymond James Stadium, and the Rams will be looking to do the same in SoFi Stadium.
Before last year, the no team had ever played a Super Bowl in their own stadium. LA played the 1980 title game in the Rose Bowl, which wasn't their stadium, and the Niners played the the 1985 Super Bowl at Cardinal Stadium instead of Candelstick Park.
Rammin' it home!
The Rams path to the Super Bowl
The Offensive Rookie of the Year, Ja'Maar Chase is going to have to be a huge factor if the Bengals are going to win today.

Cincy's Cinderella story continues
Cincinnati flew under the radar pretty much the entire season. They announced they were for real with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17 of the regular season. Little did they know they would meet the Chiefs in the AFC Championship four weeks later. Now the Bengals are back in the Super Bowl after a 31 year drought, and have a chance to hoist their first Lombari Trophy in franchise history.
LA ALL IN for LVI
The Rams went all in this season hoping to get to the Super Bowl played on their home soil. They brought in Matthew Stafford after last season, and made some seismic midseason moves bringing in Odell Beckham Jr. and Vonn Miller for the final stretch of the season. There was a three week crisis that Rams went through, throwing those Super Bowl ambitions on seemingly into the flames. LA bounced back big time, winning eight of their last nine.
