Club América backs Santiago Solari despite latest results
The capital-based team is having a rocky start of the campaign in Liga MX and they have a record of one win, one draw and three defeats.
The bosses at Club América have decided to back manager Santiago Solari despite the bad start to the Liga MX campaign. The capital-based team suffered another defeat on Wednesday night against Mazatlan and they dropped to 14th place in Liga MX standings.
Poor start of the season for Solari and company
The team managed by Santiago Solari have a record of one win, one draw and three defeats so far this campaign. According to the latest report, the bosses in charge of the ‘Eagles’ have not contemplated parting ways with the Argentine manager and he will continue despite the latest results.
No matter what happens in the 2022 Clausura campaign, Solari will remain in charge of Club América, but if he doesn’t win the trophy the Argentine will not return for the next tournament. The ‘Eagles’ are one point away from their worst start since the 2008 Clausura, when they were in last place in the standings.
During Solari’s first two campaigns the club was in first place after four games. Now the Argentine head coach will have to make some changes to start climbing up a place in the standings and their next match will be against Pachuca on 20 February at the Azteca stadium.
