Are there any NBA games today, Monday 7 March?
Week 21 kicks off with a hot lineup of eight highly contested matches, half of them being battles that are too close to call with a wild card in the mix
The NBA kicks off Week 21 with three tight matchups that should make for very exciting viewing. The Chicago Bulls head into Philly to meet the 76ers in an Eastern Conference battle in that top bracket. With six teams all within five games of first place, there will certainly be a few swaps over the coming weeks in the seeding. With the Bucks victory yesterday, a Bulls win could see the 76ers drop to third place in this tight contest for the East.
Out West we have two matchups that could go either way. The Utah Jazz are headed to Dallas to face the Mavericks as both are looking to keep the wins going. The Western Conference has a little more breathing room in it with the top six teams being up to 13 games adrift the top spot, but a win by Dallas could close the gap on the fourth seed spot with Utah.
Also out West, the Warriors will visit the Nuggets looking for a win so that they can close some of the eight game gap on Phoenix. With Memphis dropping a shocker to Houston yesterday, Golden State has the chance to pull clear in that second spot, but a loss to Denver could see them drop to third.
Last-place Houston are going to try and show that their stunning win in Memphis was not a fluke. They have no realistic chance of a playoff berth, but can develop a reputation as giant-killers if they can take down Miami tonight, and make things ever more uncomfortable in the East in the process.
