More Jerry Jones drama: his secret daughter, the reality star

The Cowboys owner is in trouble again, this time being sued by Alexandra Davis, a Congressional staff woman who says she is Jones’ biological daughter.

Update:
The Cowboys owner is in trouble again, this time being sued by Alexandra Davis, a Congressional staff woman who says she is Jones’ biological daughter.

Jerry Jones can’t seem to stay out of the headlines, even in the offseason. This time, he’s being sued by a woman claiming to be his biological daughter, but her mother and she were paid to keep quiet. The accusations come just a month after allegations were made against a Cowboys PR executive, which were also brushed under the rug.

Alexandra Davis sues Jerry Jones

Alexandra Davis claims that the billionaire owner of the Dallas Cowboys paid her mother, Cynthia Davis, $375,000 to stay quiet about their relationship. According to the Dallas Morning News, Cynthia and Jones met in 1995. In the lawsuit filed by Alexandra, it says that they were bound by a confidentiality agreement when Alexandra was only one year old in which two trusts were set up in their names in order to keep his identity as the father a secret.

The daughter, Alexandra, has never said anything about who her father is for fear of losing financial support. Now, she is asking the court to release her from this confidentiality agreement so that she can be recognized legally as Jones’ daughter. She hasn’t said why the sudden interest, but it should be noted that the 79-year-old Cowboys owner’s estimated net worth is around $10.7 billion.

Who are Alexandra and Cynthia Davis?

Alexandra Davis works in the U.S. Senate in Washington D.C. Her mother, Cynthia Davis, supposedly met Jerry Jones when she was working at American Airlines’ ticket counter in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Dallas Morning News reported that the mother and daughter duo appeared on a reality television show called “Big Rich Texas”, which follows wealthy Texas women and their daughters. In it, Cynthia was labeled as a single mom living off a “trust fund”.

According to the court filings, Alexandra was raised in the Dallas area and graduated from Southern Methodist University. Now 25 years old, Alexandra claims she was conceived by a relationship her mother had with Jones in the 90s. Cynthia was reportedly divorced at the time she met Jones and her ex husband, through DNA testing, was proven to not be Alexandra’s biological father. When Alexandra was born, Cynthia and Jones worked together to hide his paternity.

"Defendant Jones, with the help of lawyers, knowing that Cynthia was now a single mother with a very young child and an uncertain financial future at best, set out to negotiate a 'settlement' that would exchange money for silence 'hush money'," the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit has been temporarily sealed until the end of March, when a hearing is scheduled to take place. The Dallas Morning News obtained it before it was sealed.
