Jordan Pefok is the best USMNT striker in Europe this season
The United States international has scored six goals in seven games and he is the top scorer in the Swiss league with 17 in 25 appearances.
Jordan Pefok has been on point all season long with Young Boys in the Swiss Super League after scoring in the 2-2 draw against Lausanne on Sunday. This was the sixth goal in seven games for the United States international and he leads the league with 17 in 25 appearances.
Pefok has scored 22 goals in 37 matches across all competitions so far this campaign, including two goals in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League. This is a career-best for the United States international and there are 10 games left of the regular season for Young Boys, which means he can only add more to his name.
The best option for the USMNT
Without a doubt, the coach of the United States men’s national team, Gregg Berhlater, will be looking at Pefok for the roster that will face the last three crucial games in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers in CONCACAF. The USMNT will travel to Mexico to play at the Azteca stadium on 24 March, three days later they will host Panama and on 20 March they will go on the road to play against Costa Rica.
The results will determine if the United States qualifies to the upcoming FIFA World Cup and Pefok should be leading the attack. There is no better American striker in any league right now better than the Young Boys player.
