Speaking to the media ahead of his team's UEFA Conference League second-leg round of 16 clash against Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, Jose Mourinho issued an impassioned plea during the pre-game press conference.

The coach from Setubal stated: "Very objective, very pragmatic: stop the war. This one and all the others. "Stop it, and if I have to repeat it, repeat it, repeat it every day, I will. Stop the war.

"I don't talk about politics. I am interested in the world of politics, but I don't talk about it publicly".
