Barça defender Gerard Piqué could not contain his excitement after Barcelona's resounding victory over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium posting a succinct "We Are Back" message on Twitter shortly after the full-time whistle.

His partner Shakira also took to social media too later on Sunday and posed with a four-finger gesture for the four goals shipped by Real Madrid at the Bernabéu.

"Gerard won't let me say these things publicly. But only he with his heroism can play like this going through any injury or pain and always give his best. It's not because he's my husband, but he's the best center back in the world, I've said it!" she posted on Twitter.
