MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas hosted the 64th edition of the annual Grammy awards on Sunday - just one week after the commotion witnessed at the Oscars. Will Smith has since resigned from the Academy, profusely apologising for slapping host Chris Rock during the ceremony.

In contrast, the Grammys flowed through its three-and-a-half-hour program without any problems or animosity. It was always going to be a fun, peaceful affair, as host Trevor Noah noted in his opening speech, with only the subtlest of references to the Will Smith-Chris Rock incident. ““Don’t even think of this as an award show. It’s a concert where we are giving out awards, we’re going to be listening to some music, we’re going to be dancing, we’re going to be singing, we’re going to be keeping people’s names out of our mouths and we are going to give people awards all throughout the night”.

Teenage singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo and R&B duo Silk Sonic dominated the major categories while Jon Batiste picked up the award for the album of the year with his eighth studio release We are. Below is a list of all of the categories and winners:
