An American influencer goes to chef José Andrés’ restaurant in Las Vegas and is disappointed by one detail: “It should be from Spain”
Content creator Larry has shared a video on TikTok showing his experience at Bazaar Meat, as well as reviewing the food it offers.

The curiosity to discover new places and culinary experiences leads many people to discover restaurants around the world, especially those that offer a gastronomic experience unique to their home countries. This is precisely the case of Larry, an American content creator who visited Bazaar Meat, a restaurant in Las Vegas owned by Spanish chef José Andrés.
The content creator has posted a video on TikTok, where he has nearly 80,000 followers, in which he shows his visit to the establishment and shares his opinions on the different dishes he tries. They all have one thing in common: they are made with or feature typical products of Spanish cuisine.

“We’re in Las Vegas, we’re at Bazaar, Chef José Andrés’s restaurant,” the content creator begins. After stating that the restaurant’s prices are incredible, he shows what he’s ordered: a ribeye steak, a plate of Iberian ham, patatas bravas, and tomato bread. “I haven’t been able to find good Spanish food in the United States,” he adds.
Larry begins his tasting with the Iberian ham, which he notes is small compared to the type of cut made in Spain, and with the tomato bread, oil, and salt. After tasting the ham, his verdict is immediate: “It’s good, probably the best I’ve had in the United States, but compared to Spain, it’s average.” Then, the man notices something: the origin of the oil, which, instead of being Spanish, is from California.
“A little disappointing that I’m at José Andrés’s restaurant in Las Vegas and the oil isn’t Spanish. It should be from Spain,” he confesses. After this unpleasant experience, Larry introduces the patatas bravas: “The problem I have is that we’re trying to show people in the United States what authentic Spanish food is like,” he explains, before adding, after digging into them, that they’re not authentic.
“It’s better in Spain”
Continuing with the experience, the content creator displays the steak he ordered on screen. After adding a little salt, the man tastes a small piece: “It’s good, but it’s better in Spain.” Finally, Larry shows how much their meal at José Andrés’s restaurant cost: $462.22.
“The steak was almost $300, the bread with tomato sauce was $15, the patatas bravas were $14, and the two beers were $20. I’m going to pay, but just so you know, in Spain you can get very good quality for much less. Honestly, much better quality and authenticity… I’m being honest,” he concludes.
