During awards season and red carpet events, actresses bring out their heavy artillery to appear in the galleries of the best-dressed. Names of important firms and designers are heard, whom they, ostensibly, would have chosen to appear more beautiful than ever. But have they truly chosen them?

The truth is, very little is left to chance within the styling of actresses during these pivotal moments. Many of them are already brand ambassadors, so by contract (obviously, in exchange for a fixed amount, which may also include advertising or other events), they must choose a look from these firms. Sometimes the dress is imposed by the brand, while in other cases, they have the option to choose from various designs.
In this scenario, the economic amounts would not be received for that specific event and could be as high as the actresses have agreed upon in their advertising contracts with the companies.
These actresses, so closely associated with a brand, whose image is linked to them, could even have the option of wearing a garment designed exclusively for them and for that event, something within reach of very few privileged individuals.

Actresses without sponsorship
For those performers who do not have a contract with a specific brand, highly publicized and important galas such as the Oscars can be a fabulous opportunity to earn extra money by negotiating a fee for wearing a garment from a particular designer.
Actresses can pocket anywhere from $50,000 to $250,000, or even more in extreme cases, if they offer themselves to the highest bidder and set aside some of their style preferences. However, brands, when selecting “models,” also have their own criteria: the actress’s measurements, weight, height, hair color, public image...
In essence, actresses, but also mannequins on one of the most special nights. An evening where, it shouldn’t be forgotten, these amounts can increase if they also sign with a jewelry brand to showcase their pieces. And, for all others, they might be lucky enough to borrow a dress if they don’t have suitors to adorn them.
