Drake Bell to explain more about his story of abuse: When and where to watch the interview
Drake Bell is set to expose more details about his case of abuse through ‘Breaking the Silence’.
Drake Bell is not done telling his story. Through the Investigation Discovery (ID) docuseries, ‘Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV ‘, the 37-year-old singer-songwriter revealed that he had been a victim of sexual abuse at the age of 15, at the hands of Brian Peck, the dialogue coach of ‘The Amanda Show’, starring Bell and Amanda Bynes.
Since the publication of the documentary, various child stars and former Nickelodeon employees have begun to speak out about the abuse suffered at the network which specializes in children’s entertainment. As reported by ID, more than 16 million viewers tuned in to the series on its own channel and MAX platform, which represented the largest audience for an unscripted series since the launch of its streaming service streaming.
Originally, the docuseries had been approved as a four-episode project. However, due to the media impact and the stories exposed in it, Investigation Discovery has given the green light for the launch of a new episode, which will run under the name 'Breaking the Silence' and will feature a new interview with Drake Bell.
When is 'Breaking The Silence' with Drake Bell released?
‘Breaking The Silence’, the fifth episode of ‘Quiet On Set’, will arrive on Investigation Discovery channels on 7 April. The episode will premiere initially on the MAX streaming platform and will feature new interviews with Drake Bell, as well as former members of the ‘All That’ cast, including Shane Lyons, Giovonnie Samuels and Bryan Hearne along with Hearne’s mother, Tracey Brown.
The renowned journalist, Soledad O’Brien, will be in charge of carrying out the interviews.
“With Breaking the Silence, we are delving deeper into the crucial conversations the docuseries started and exploring the lingering questions left in its wake to provide more insight from brave voices who have spoken before and those who are running again,” Jason Sarlanis, president of ID, said in a statement issued this week.
