Heidi Klum is very proud of her daughter, Leni Olumi, as the 18-year-old pursues a career as a model while studying for her college classes. Olumi, who has always admired her famous mother for her modeling work, is following in her mother’s footsteps and is already well on her way to becoming a fashion icon, as she juggles her new modeling career while going through college.

Olumi is studying interior design in New York City as she pursues a modeling career.

Heidi Klum comments on her daughter’s modeling career

At the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Heidi Klum said she is very proud of her daughter as she balances her new passions.

I’m very proud of my daughter and her modeling,” said the former Victoria’s Secret model. “And she’s studying at the same time, she’s juggling already.”

When did Leni Olumi start modeling?

After growing up admiring her supermodel mother’s work, Leni Olumi made her modeling debut with Heidi Klum in a mother-daughter shoot on the cover of Vogue Germany.

“I’ve always gone to work with my mom and thought, ‘This looks so fun. She looks so happy while she’s working,’” Olumi said in 2022. “I’d jump in sometimes, and I’d play around with the makeup that her makeup artist would bring.”

“That’s what sparked me.”

Like mother like daughter

The 18-year-old talked about the experience working so closely with her mother on a photoshoot in a professional capacity.

“That’s, like, insane that I did that as my first job and my mom was with me, which made it so much fun,” Olumi said. “It was just such a good day. I wasn’t nervous at all. I was just so excited. I was like, ‘I’m finally modeling, and it’s Vogue.’ It was just so many things to be excited about.”
