How many Oscars does Adrien Brody have and how many times has he been nominated for an Academy Award?
Adrien Brody adds another Oscar to his collection of awards for his leading role in “The Brutalist” at the Academy Awards this Sunday.

Adrien Brody was unsurprisingly up for the Oscar for Best Actor this Sunday for his leading role in the film, “The Brutalist”. Unsurprising because he won nearly every other award leading up to the Oscars for that same role, and equally unsurprising was that he landed his second Oscar, after his win for “The Pianist” in 2003.

Adrien Brody’s list of awards
Brody’s performance as Lazslo Toth, an architect and Holocaust survivor, has earned him his second Oscar nomination for Best Actor. His first for his role in “The Pianist” earned him the title of youngest-ever actor to win Best Actor, at age 29.
This year Brody was up against Timothée Chalamet, who was nominated for his role as Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown”, and who recently surprisingly beat Brody in that category at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. If Chalamet, who is 29 years old would have won, he would have surpass Brody (by a few months) as the youngest to win the award.

Besides his Oscar and SAG nominations for his role in “The Brutalist”, Brody was nominated and has now won the award for the AARP Movies for Grownups Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe, the Palm Springs and Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Critic’s Choice Movie Awards.
But the coveted Oscar Award is what meant the most, especially considering his last was won more than two decades ago. He was 29 when he won his Oscar. He’s now 51. There is a phenomenon called the “Oscar curse” that sees young actors, who peak too soon, win an Oscar at a young age only to never win one again and have their acting career fizzle out. Brody broked that curse this Sunday now that he’s finally played a great role that shows off his tremendous talent.
